[病-丙+(朿*欠)]病 (for the first character, s- + -ou in fanqie. The Gujin zhengzi takes disease as semantic to make 瘶; cold-illness coughing is 瘶. In the treatise text it is written with mouth as semantic to make 嗽, which is incorrect. The Kaosheng says: 'The disease of coughed breath surging into the throat.' The Picang says: 'A disease of chills and fever.' A character book says: 'An illness within the chest and diaphragm.' The Wenzi dianshuo takes disease as semantic and 欶 as phonetic; 欶 has the same sound as above).
