躭湎（上荅含反正作媅前發智論第十四卷已釋訖下綿褊反孔注尚書云沉湎于酒過差失度也詩傳云天不湎尒也文字典說從水面聲）。

躭湎 (for the first character, d- + -an in fanqie; the standard form is written as 媅, already explained earlier in Fascicle Fourteen of the Abhidharmaprakaraṇa-pāda-śāstra. For the second character, m- + -ian in fanqie. Kong [Anguo]'s commentary to the Shangshu says: 'Sinking and wallowing in wine, exceeding all bounds.' Mao's Commentary to the Shijing says: 'Heaven does not indulge you.' The Wenzi dianshuo gives it with water as semantic and 面 as phonetic).
