Vigorous debate (激論: the first is pronounced [經 + 鷁] *jī*. Gu Yewang says: '激 refers to a clear sound.' Wang Yi's commentary on the Chuci says: 'To be stirred.' The Fangyan says: 'Clear.' The Shuowen says: 'A rapid wave of water. It takes the radical shuǐ and the phonetic jiào.' Jiào is pronounced [口 + 的] *kè*, and also [餘 + 灼] *yuè*).
