含嚼（下牆略反淮南子曰嚼之無味不能入喉也廣雅三嚼茹也字書云咀也說文云噍也從口從留）。

Hold in the mouth and chew (含嚼: the second is pronounced [牆 + 略] *jiáo*. The Huainanzi says: 'Chewing it, it has no flavor and cannot go down the throat.' The Guangya says: '嚼 means to eat.' The Zishu says: 'To chew.' The Shuowen says: 'To chew. It takes the radical kǒu and the radical liú').
