喜渴（下看遏反顧野王云渴謂須飲也蒼頡篇云涸也毛詩云匪渴也說文云盡也從水曷聲涸音胡各反）。

Thirst for joy (喜渴; the lower character [渴] is fanqie 看遏. Gu Yewang says: '渴 refers to needing a drink.' The Cangjie pian says: 'Dried up.' The Mao Shijing says: 'It is not dried up (渴).' The Shuowen says: 'Depleted.' It is composed with 'water' (水) as semantic and 曷 as phonetic. The sound of 涸 is fanqie 胡各).
