麻幹（工且反麻莖也亦枝主名幹廣疋幹本也三蒼枝幹也字冝作[卄/點]揩二形音皆今呼為麻[卄/點]是也）。

Hemp stalk (麻幹: [幹 is] *gong* and *qie* *fanqie* [= *qie*]; the stem of hemp; the main branch is also called *gan*; the *Guangya* says: "*Gan* means root." The *Sancang* says: "Branches and stems." The character should properly be written in the two forms [卄/點] or 揩, pronounced *jie*; what is nowadays called hemp stalk (*majie*) is this).
