Weapons and armor (器仗) (fanqie: 袪冀 [qì]; the lower character has the fanqie: 治亮 [zhàng]. In the Hanshu, on the classes of weapons and armor in Jing, Ying Shao says: "That which holds items inside is called qì, while that which encases them on the outside is called xiè; another view says that having no case is called qìzhàng, which means weapons. The five bladed weapons are collectively called bīng; that which people hold in their hands is called zhàng").
