巨溟(下茗經反莊子云溟天池也司馬彪注云溟南北極也去日月遠故以溟為名也字書云溟海也說文從水冥聲冥音同上)。

Vast ocean (巨溟: the second character has the fanqie 茗 + 經. The Zhuangzi says: “溟 is the Celestial Pond.” Sima Biao's commentary says: “溟 refers to the North and South Poles; being far removed from the sun and moon, it is thus named 溟.” Character dictionaries say: “溟 means the ocean.” The Shuowen states it is classified under the radical 'water' (水) with 冥 phonetic. 冥 has the same sound as above).
