炷焦（上朱樹反下子遙反考聲焦乾極也傷火也廣雅焦黑也鄭注禮記煙於火中也說文正作𤓪云火所燒也從火雥聲雥音雜論作燋非）。

Scorched wick (炷焦; the first character is 朱 + 樹; the second character is 子 + 遙. The *Kaosheng* states: "焦 means extremely dry; damaged by fire." The *Guangya* states: "焦 means black." Zheng [Xuan]'s commentary on the *Liji* states: "Smoked within fire." The *Shuowen jiezi* properly writes it as 𤓪, stating: "Burned by fire. Composed of 'fire' (火) and 雥 as the phonetic"; 雥 is pronounced 雜. In the treatise it is written as 燋, which is incorrect).
