烟[燜-心+函]（上宴賢反下閩壍反考聲[燜-心+甬]火光也字書火微行也說文從火閻聲論作焰俗字亦通）。

Smoke and blaze (烟[燜-心+函]: the first character has the fanqie 宴賢; the second character has the fanqie 閩壍. The Kaosheng says: '[燜-心+甬] means the light of fire.' The character dictionaries say: 'Fire smoldering slightly.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Formed from [the semantic component] "fire" (火) and has 閻 as phonetic.' In the treatise it is written as 焰, which is a popular character and is also acceptable).
