蠛蠓（上眠結反下蒙董反莊子云𰡜之於木若蠛蠓於地也顧野王曰小飛蟲也郭注尒雅云小蟲似蜹也說文並從虫蔑蒙聲也）。

Tiny midges (蠛蠓: the upper character [蠛] is pronounced mian-jie fan; the lower character [蠓] is pronounced meng-dong fan; the Zhuangzi says: "The louse to the tree is like the tiny midge to the earth." Gu Yewang says: "Small flying insects." Guo's commentary on the Erya says: "Small insects resembling gnats." The Shuowen says both take 虫 as semantic, with 蔑 and 蒙 as phonetics).
