踐蹋（上前剪反毛詩傳云踐行皃也鄭注禮記踐履也升也下潭[門@(舄-臼+下)]反廣雅蹋亦履也說文亦踐也二字並從足戔[日/羽]聲論作蹹俗字也）。

Trampling (踐蹋: the upper character [踐] is pronounced qian-jian fan; the Mao Commentary on the Shijing says: "踐 describes the appearance of walking." Zheng's commentary on the Liji says: "踐 means stepping upon; ascending." The lower character [蹋] is pronounced tan-[門@(舄-臼+下)] fan; the Guangya says: "蹋 also means stepping upon." The Shuowen says: "Also means stepping upon." Both characters take 足 as semantic, with 戔 and [日/羽] as phonetics. In the treatise it is written as 蹹, which is a vulgar character).
