緝[糸*((朿-木+大)/貝)]（上侵入反毛詩箋云緝續也下井昔反郭注爾雅云續繼也說文亦緝也二字竝從糸責咠皆聲）。

緝[糸*((朿-木+大)/貝)] (the first character is *qin* combined with *ru* [fanqie: qin-ru]; Mao's commentary on the Shijing says: “緝 means to continue.” The second character is *jing* combined with *xi* [fanqie: jing-xi]; Guo's commentary on the Erya says: “It means to continue or carry on.” The Shuowen also says: “緝 means to continue.” Both characters are formed with the silk radical [糹], with 責 and 咠 as their phonetic components).
