守阸（鸎賣反杜注左傳云阸地險也王逸注楚辭云阸傾危也說文塞也從阜或作隘作阸俗字也）。

Defending a narrow pass (守阸: has the fanqie yīng + mài. Du's commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: '阸 means dangerous terrain.' Wang Yi's commentary on the Chuci says: '阸 means precarious.' The Shuowen says: 'Blocked; derived from 阜 [mound]; it is also written as 隘; 阸 is a popular graph').
