秉法炬（上彼皿反考聲云手執禾也集訓云把禾束也文字釋要云手持一禾也從又又手也從禾下渠語反說文云束竹𥯤以燒之曰炬古作𥬙也）。

Holding the torch of the Dharma (bing faju 秉法炬: the upper word is [pronounced with the fanqie] bi + min [bing]. The Kaosheng says: 'Holding grain in hand.' The Jixun says: 'Holding a sheaf of grain.' The Wenzi shiyao says: 'Holding one stalk of grain in hand; it is categorized under you 又—you is a hand—and under grain 禾.' The lower word is [pronounced with the fanqie] qu + yu [ju]. The Shuowen says: 'Binding bamboo splints together to burn them is called ju 炬; in antiquity it was written 𥬙.').
