深奧（下烏告反又音於六反訓義並同廣雅奧藏也郭注方言室中隱奧處也說文云究也室之西南隅也從穴[山/兀/廾]聲[山/兀/廾]音弓六反下從廾音拱上從古六字也宀音綿從米作奧非也）。

Deep and profound (shen'ao 深奧: the lower word is [pronounced with the fanqie] wu + gao [ao]; also pronounced yu + liu [yu]; the meanings are the same. The Guangya says: 'Ao 奧 means stored away.' Guo's commentary on the Fangyan says: 'The hidden, recessed corner of a room.' The Shuowen says: 'To penetrate deeply; the southwest corner of a room; it is categorized under cave 穴 with [山/兀/廾] as phonetic; [山/兀/廾] is pronounced gong + liu [gong]; below it is gong 廾 [gong], above it is the ancient character for six 六; mian 宀 is pronounced mian 綿. Writing it with rice 米 as 奧 is incorrect.').
