欻作（暉律反薛琮注西京賦云欻忽也蒼頡篇云欻猝音麤骨反起也說文云有所吹起也從欠炎聲）。

Suddenly arising (xuzuo 欻作: [the former word is pronounced with the fanqie] hui + lü [xu]. Xue Zong's commentary on the Xijing fu says: 'Xu 欻 means suddenly.' The Cangjie pian says: 'Xu means abruptly' (pronounced cu + gu [cu]), 'to arise.' The Shuowen says: 'Being blown upward by something; it is categorized under yawn 欠 and takes yan 炎 as phonetic.').
