諸冥（覓經反又迷定反蒼頡篇云諸非一也聲類云諸詞之㧾名也爾疋云冥闇也昧也說文冥幽也亦夜也字從冖冖音銘壁反從曰從六曰數十六曰而月始虧冥字意）。

All darkness (諸冥: fanqie 覓經 [mì + jīng = míng], also fanqie 迷定 [mí + dìng = mìng]; the Cang Jie pian says: '諸 means not one'; the Shenglei says: '諸 is a general term in phrasing'; the Erya says: '冥 means dark and obscure'; the Shuowen says: '冥 means hidden and deep, also night; the character derives from 冖 [冖 is fanqie 銘壁 [míng + bì = mì/mìng]], and from 日 [sun] and 六 [six]; the number six means on the sixteenth day the moon begins to wane, which is the meaning of the character 冥').
