Cavity and fissure (竅隙: first character fanqie: k[ǒu] + [di]ào; the latter is also written 𡭽, the same; fanqie: q[iū] + [n]ì. The Guangya states: 'Qiao means a hole; xi means a crack.' The Shuowen states: 'Qiao means an opening; xi means a hole in a wall.' The character is formed from 𨸏 and 白; narrower at the top and bottom).
