憍陳那（除吝反舊云憍陳如訛也云火器是性阿若是名亦云初智以其最初悟無而得智本願也）。

Kauṇḍinya (pronounced with the fanqie chu + lin [chèn]. Formerly written Jiaochenru, which is corrupt. It means 'fire vessel' as a clan name; Ājñāta is the personal name, which also translates as 'Initial Knowledge', because he was the first to awaken to non-being and attain knowledge according to his original vow).
