梅怛麗藥（都達反此云慈即舊云慈氏者也慈有二因緣一值慈佛發心二初慈心三昧因以名焉言彌勒或云梅低𥟦益訛也）。

Maitreya (梅怛麗藥: [the second character has the] fanqie 都達 [d- + -(u)at > dat]. This means "Benevolence" (ci), which is what was formerly called "Ci Shi" (the Benevolent One). Benevolence has two causes: first, encountering a benevolent Buddha and giving rise to the mind [of awakening]; second, beginning with the samādhi of a benevolent mind, and being named accordingly. Calling him Milê (彌勒) or Meidili (梅低𥟦) are even further corruptions).
