Nits and lice (蟣蝨: the first character [蟣] is fanqie 居𮨜 [jǐ]. The Kaosheng says: "A 蟣 is a louse's egg." The Shuowen says: "A louse is an insect that bites people." It is formed with the insect pair radical [䖵] and 卂 as phonetic; 䖵 is pronounced 昆 [kūn], and 卂 is pronounced 信 [xìn]. The treatise text uses 虱, which is commonly used as a popular form).
