顧眄（下眠見反方言云秦晉之間以視為眄也說文云眄斜視也從目丐聲也丐綿淀反）。

Glancing sideways (顧眄; the second character is pronounced with the fanqie 眠見 [miàn]. The Fangyan states: 'Between Qin and Jin, to look is called 眄.' The Shuowen jiezi states: '眄 (miàn) means to look askance. It takes "eye" [目] as radical and 丐 as phonetic; 丐 is pronounced with the fanqie 綿淀 [miǎn]').
