不爛（闌旦反呂氏春秋云熟而不爛也說文云爛亦熟也從火闌聲）。
Not overcooked (不爛; pronounced with the fanqie 闌旦 [làn]. The Lüshi chunqiu states: 'Cooked yet not mushy.' The Shuowen jiezi states: '爛 (làn) also means well-cooked. It takes "fire" [火] as radical and 闌 as phonetic').
