猨猴（又作蝯同禹煩反似獼猴而大臂長其色有黑有黃鳴聲甚哀古今注云猨五百歲化為玃玃壽千歲玃音居縛反）。

Ape (猨猴: also written as 蝯, both with the fanqie 禹煩, *yuán*): It resembles a macaque but is larger, with long arms; its color is black or yellow, and its cry is very mournful. The *Gujin zhu* says: 'At five hundred years of age, an ape transforms into a *jué*; a *jué* lives for a thousand years.' *Jué* has the fanqie 居縛.
