鸊鷈（薜覓反下他奚反方言野𠒎小而好沒水中者南楚之外謂之鸊鷉其大者謂之鶻蹄其膏可以瑩刀用也）。

Little grebe (鸊鷈: the first character has the fanqie 薜覓, *bì*; the second has the fanqie 他奚, *tí*): The *Fangyan* says: 'Small wild ducks that like to submerge into water are called *bìtí* beyond Southern Chu. The larger ones are called *gūtí*; their fat can be used to polish blades.'
