Pillar base (柱礎, *chǔ*, fanqie: 初舉): The *Huainanzi* states: 'When mountain clouds steam, pillar bases grow moist.' Xu Shuzhong [Xu Shen] says: 'The people of Chu call the plinth beneath a pillar a *chǔ*.' Plinth (市𥖽) is pronounced with the fanqie 思亦 (*sì*).
