煎炒（古文𩱦𭴥焣𤌉四形作𱆏崔寔四民月令作炒古今正字作𤍕字同初絞反方言熬焣煎備火乾也說文熬也）。

Frying and stir-frying (煎炒: the ancient script has four forms: 𩱦, 𭴥, 焣, and 𤌉; also written as 𱆏. Cui Shi's Simin yueling writes 炒; the Gujin zhengzi writes 𤍕; the character is uniformly [fanqie] 初絞 [chūjiǎo]. The Fangyan says: 'To parching, simmering, frying, and thoroughly drying by fire.' The Shuowen says: 'To parch.')
