邠坻（府貧反下古文[圪-乙+小]同直飢反此言訛也正言賔茶駄寫邪此云團與舊譯云給孤獨猶是須達多之別名也須達多此云善與）。

Piṇḍada (邠坻: fu plus pin fanqie [bīn]; the second character in ancient script is [圪-乙+小], the same, zhi plus ji fanqie [chí]. This is a corrupt transcription; the correct transcription is Bin-tu-tuo-xie-ye [Piṇḍada], meaning here 'ball-giver' [alms-giver]. In older translations rendered as 'Giver to the Solitary' [Anāthapiṇḍada], which is an alternate name for Sudatta; 'Sudatta' here translates as 'good giver').
