疼痺(又作痋𦙭二形同徒冬反聲類作癑說文疼動痛也下方二反蒼頡篇云手足不仁也論文痺濕病也今言冷痺風痺皆是也)。

Pain and numbness (疼痺: also written 痋 and 𦙭, two forms the same; tu plus dong fanqie [téng]. The Shenglei writes 癑. The Shuowen says: "Teng (疼) means moving pain." The lower character is fang plus er fanqie [bì]. The Cangjie pian says: "Lack of feeling in the hands and feet." In the treatise text, bi (痺) is a dampness disease; what is now called cold numbness [lengbi] and wind numbness [fengbi] are both this).
