Lance and spear (𥎞矛: the first character has the fanqie 麤鸞, *cuān*, meaning to thrust or hurl; the second character is also written in the two forms 𨥨 and 𢦵, both with the fanqie 莫侯, *móu*): The *Shuowen jiezi* says: 'A spear is two *zhang* in length.'
