號歎（上胡高反博雅號大聲囂諠也杜注左傳哭也說文痛聲也從号從虎傳文作嘷虎嘷聲字非此義也囂音許驕反）。

號歎 (wailing and sighing: the first character is pronounced 胡 + 高 fanqie; the Boya says, "號 means loud clamour"; Du's commentary to the Zuo zhuan says, "To weep"; the Shuowen jiezi says, "The sound of pain; derived from 号 and 虎"; transmitted texts writing 嘷 refer to the roar of a tiger, which is not this meaning; 囂 is pronounced 許 + 驕 fanqie).
