陶河（字冝作掏徒刀反中國言掏河江南言鵜鶘亦曰黎鶘詩草木疏云一名掏河是也鵜亦作鴺郭璞注三蒼音黎又大奚反）。

陶河 (the character should properly be written as 掏, pronounced with the fanqie 徒刀 [táo]. In the Central Plains it is called táohé (掏河); south of the Yangtze it is called tíhú (鵜鶘), and also líhú (黎鶘). The Shijing caomu shu says: "One name is táohé"—this is it. Tí (鵜) is also written as 鴺; Guo Pu's commentary on the Sancang gives the pronunciation as lí (黎), and alternatively as the fanqie 大奚 [dà xī]).
