裂眥（在計反說文目崖也史記作睚眦五賣反材賣反瞋目皃也漢書作厓眥並此義也淮南子云瞋目裂眥是）。

裂眥 (Rending the eye-corners; [fanqie:] zai + ji. The Shuowen says: "The rim of the eye." The Shiji writes 睚眦, with the fanqie wu + mai and cai + mai, meaning the appearance of glaring with eyes wide open. The Hanshu writes 厓眥; both have this meaning. The Huainanzi saying: "Glares with eyes wide and rends the eye-corners" is this).
