憺怕（上談濫反顧野王云憺恬靜也王逸注楚辭云憺安也文字典說從心詹聲下普白反廣雅云怕靜也說文怕無為也從心白聲經從水作淡泊非也）。

Tranquil and serene (憺怕: the first character is tan-lan fan [dàn]. Gu Yewang says: '憺 means calm and tranquil.' Wang Yi's commentary on the Chuci says: '憺 means peaceful.' The Wenzidian shuo gives it deriving from the heart radical with 詹 as phonetic. The second character is pu-bai fan [pà]. The Guangya says: '怕 means tranquil.' The Shuowen says: '怕 means non-action.' It derives from the heart radical with 白 as phonetic. The scripture writing it with the water radical as 淡泊 is incorrect).
