涕泣 (weeping and sobbing: the first character is pronounced 他 + 禮 fanqie; the Mao commentary to the Classic of Poetry says, "Tears and snot flow profusely"; the commentary says, "Tears coming out of the eyes"; the Shuowen jiezi says, "Ocular fluid"; the second character is 欽 + 立 fanqie; the Shuowen jiezi says, "Tears coming out of the eyes").
