臠割 [luángē, to slice and cut]: [the first character is pronounced] 力 + 轉 fanqie. The Zilin says: '臠 means to slice meat.' It takes the meat radical (肉) with luán (䜌) providing the sound; 䜌 is pronounced 力 + 員 fanqie. The second character is pronounced 肝 + 渴 fanqie. The Boya says: 'It means severing things with a knife.'
