剋勵（呂制反顧野王云勵猶勉也杜注左傳云勵亦勸也說文從力厲音同上厲聲也）。

Endeavor and encourage [剋勵] (fanqie: 呂 + 制. Gu Yewang says: “Li is like exerting oneself.” Du's commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: “Li also means to encourage.” The Shuowen gives it with the radical 力 [strength] and li; it has the same sound as above, with li phonetic).
