Fanzhi [反支] (these two characters, as well as terms in later sūtra passages like *xueji* [blood taboo] and *loushi* [piercing leakage], are all names of inauspicious days in yin-yang and numerological systems; the translators cited them as metaphors to make clear the profound meaning of the sūtra).
