羈鞅 (The *fanqie* for the upper character is [k]- + [ŋiᴇ] (寄冝反). The *Wenzi dianshuo* states: 'A horse's halter.' It is categorized under 网 (net) with [巾*馬], which denotes a horse's tether. Sometimes written with the radical 革 as 羈. In the sūtra text it is written as 䩭, an ancient character form. The *fanqie* for [巾*馬] is [ʈ]- + [lɨɪp̚] (砧立反). The *fanqie* for the lower character is [ʔ]- + [lɨɐŋ] (央兩反)).
