揭鳥 (The *fanqie* for the upper character is [ɡ]- + [ŋiɐt̚] (䖍㜸反). The *Kaosheng* states: '揭 means to raise high.' Wang's commentary on the *Chuci* says: '揭 also means high.' The *Shuowen jiezi* states that it is categorized under the radical 手 (hand) with 曷 phonetic. The pronunciation of 曷 is [ɦɑt̚] (褐)).
