芭蕉（上伯麻反下即遙反王注楚辭曰芭蕉香草名也文字指云生交阯郡葉如席煑可以紡績為布汁可以漚麻也古今正字二字並從草巴焦皆聲也）。

Plantain 芭蕉 (the upper has the fanqie bo-ma [pɣa], the lower has the fanqie ji-yao [t͡sieu]. Wang's commentary on the Chuci says: “The plantain is the name of a fragrant plant.” The Wenzi zhi says: “It grows in Jiaozhi Commandery; its leaves are like mats; boiling it can yield fibers to spin into cloth, and its juice can be used to rett hemp.” In the Gujin zhengzi, both characters are classified under the radical 草, with 巴 and 焦 being their respective phonetic components).
