環釧（上患關反鄭注周禮環旋也又鄭玄云環圍也說文從玉睘聲睘音瓊經從金作鐶是子母鐶也本義乖也）。

環釧 (for the first character, fanqie: 患 + 關). Zheng [Xuan's] commentary to the Rites of Zhou says: '環 means revolving.' Zheng Xuan also says: '環 means encircling.' The Shuowen says it takes its semantic classifier from 玉 (jade) and 睘 is its phonetic. The sound of 睘 is 瓊. The scripture writing it with the metal radical as 鐶 refers to nested rings, departing from the original meaning.
