幖幟（上縹遙反前注句經已具訓釋下昌志反廣雅幟番也考聲云幟記也以帛長五尺廣半幅綴於旗上也古今正字從巾戠聲戠音軄）。

Biaozhi [幖幟] (the first character is pronounced biao + yao [biao]; it has already been fully explained in the notes on the previous sūtra. The second character is pronounced chang + zhi [zhi]; the *Guangya* states: '*Zhi* is a pennant'; the *Kaosheng* states: '*Zhi* is a marker; silk five chi long and half a breadth wide, attached to the top of a banner'; the *Gu-jin zhengzi* states that it derives from 'cloth' with *zhi* [戠] as phonetic; *zhi* [戠] has the pronunciation of 軄 [zhi]).
