Exposing your head on a stake (梟汝: [梟] has the fanqie *gu* [k-] + *yao* [-ɛu], [xiao]. The Shuowen jiezi says: "An unfilial bird. On the winter solstice, owls are captured and dismembered; the bird's head is mounted on a tree").
