Deceitful falsehood (謾訑: [謾] has the fanqie *ma* [m-] + *jian* [-an], [man]. The second character is also written as [言*墮], with the fanqie *ta* [tʰ-] + *he* [-ua], [tuo]. The Shuowen jiezi says: "謾 means deceitful. 訑 means untrustworthy." The Chuci says: 'Some are false and deceitful without doubting'—this is it).
