Sprinkling with fire (灑: *shā-yǎ* fanqie; the commentary on the *Hanshu* says: "*Sǎ* means dispersed"; the *Shuowen* says: "Splashing water; [derived] with 水 as radical and 麗 phonetic"; in the *Fangzhi* it is written as 洒 (*xī-lǐ* fanqie), which is erroneous; 汛 is pronounced *xìn*").
