宏敞（上音橫孔注尚書云宏大也說文屋深嚮也從宀厷聲下昌兩反蒼頡篇云敞高顯也說文平治高土可遠望也從文尚聲）。

宏敞 (The first character is pronounced heng. Kong's commentary on the Shangshu says: '宏 means vast.' The Shuowen says: 'A house that is deep and facing outward. It takes 宀 as semantic classifier and 厷 as phonetic.' The second character has the fanqie chang + liang. The Cangjiepian says: '敞 means elevated and prominent.' The Shuowen says: 'Leveled high ground where one can gaze afar. It takes 攵 as semantic classifier and 尚 as phonetic').
