讎挍（上壽流反下交孝反杜注左傳云讎對也爾雅匹也劉向別錄云讎挍經中謂考挍之也風俗通云二人對挍為讎挍集訓又云二人對本挍書曰讎說文讎譍也從言雔聲經從州從言作詶非也雔音上同）。

讎挍 (the first syllable is [pronounced] shou-liu fan; the second is jiao-xiao fan. Du's commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: “讎 [chou] means to match against.” Erya says: “A peer.” Liu Xiang's Bielu says: “讎挍 [choujiao] in scriptures means examining and collating them.” Fengsu tong says: “Two people collating together against each other is called 讎挍.” Jixun also says: “Two people collating a book against copies is called 讎.” Shuowen says: “讎 means to answer. Derived from 言 with 雔 phonetic.” Writing it in the scripture with 州 and 言 as 詶 is erroneous. 雔 has the same sound as above).
