舛駁（上川耎反顧野王云差舛不齊也說文對臥也從夕[(巨-匚)*(十/十)]相背也下邦邈反漢書云白黑雜也說文色不純也從馬爻聲夂音知几反[(巨-匚)*(十/十)]音跨譜文作駮俗用字也）。

舛駁 [discrepant and variegated] (The first character has the fanqie 川耎 [chuǎn]. Gu Yewang says: 'Irregular and not uniform.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Lying opposite each other; derived from 夕 and [(巨-匚)*(十/十)], turning away from each other.' The second character has the fanqie 邦邈 [bó]. The Hanshu says: 'A mixture of white and black.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'A colour that is not pure; derived from 馬 [horse] with 爻 as phonetic.' 夂 is pronounced with the fanqie 知几 [zhī]; [(巨-匚)*(十/十)] is pronounced 跨 [kuà]. In the text of the Pu, it is written as 駮, which is a popular form).
